Colourlink produce a Wonderstand at the VM & Display show 2013

For the second year running Colourlink exhibited at the VM & Display show at the Business Design Centre, Islington. Based on the success from last year’s show we decided to showcase what we do best in an Alice in Wonderland theme.

The stand that was 100% designed, printed, installed and built by Colourlink’s in house team. It featured out latest and greatest products including removable wallpaper, magnetic graphics, eco-friendly materials, conform brick vinyl, LED lights and props.

The stand was a huge hit with all visitors, everyone took the time to explore Alice in Wonderland’s enchanted garden’s and castle walls with particular attention being focus on our range of foamex flamingos.

The graphics displayed at the show had a strong emphasis on eco-friendly materials along with temporary and inter changeable elements perfect for pop up shops and events.

Atkins – Big Bang exhibition stand

Atkins came to Colourlink to produce their 2013 Big Band Fair exhibition stand. The stand was on display from the 14th to 17th of March at the event that celebrates science, technology, engineering and maths for young people aged 7-19. The stand was made to look like an eco-friendly house and was created using our eco product dufaylite making it 100 percent recyclable, it was also a huge hit at the event…
“Almost everything we eat, wear, use and like to do can be linked back to some sort of design, engineering or other science. The ability to access the internet and listen to music on the move, drink clean water from a tap, travel to school or work or plug an electrical item into a socket to make it work are just some of the things we take for granted, but without engineers and scientists would not be possible. These are all things young people do every day and we want to tap into this to stimulate their interest and get them thinking about what sits behind them.” –Atkins

Double take with Rigby and Peller lenticular

Rigby and Peller were looking for a creative way to showcase their new invisible underwear- perfect for wearing under your little black party dress. Our solution…a board mounted lenticular graphic which changes from party dress, to underwear as you walk past the shop window. It certainly caused heads to turn as shoppers took a second look!

Neon look for Britvic

Britvic wanted to create a bespoke neon sign for their latest event. Neon signage can be extremely expensive so our challenge was to come up with a cost effective alternative. By using LED’s and just a little Colourlink magic we created this stunning range of illuminated signs for a fraction of the price but with all of the impact. Showing once again we really can take any idea from inspiration to installation.

Award Winning Digital Wallpaper® for the Royal College of Physicians!

We are very proud to announce that the Royal College of Physicians, London has won First place at the ‘Small exhibition’ category at, ‘ The British Society for the History of Science Outreach and Education Committee, Great Exhibitions Awards 2012′. This is a global prize and other winners included the Science Museum and National Museums Scotland!

In an official statement posted on their blog last week The British Society for the History of Science Outreach and Education Committee said “The standard of submissions was extremely high, with entrants from a broad range of regions, including North America, Europe and Britain, covering varied subject areas in the history of science, technology and medicine, from alchemy and acoustics to anatomy and computing. The judges would like to thank and congratulate all the institutions and individuals who prepared entries to the competition.”

The Exhibition featured our trade mark Digital Wallpaper®, proving once again that even after 15 years Digital Wallpaper still makes a big impression.

‘It was the first time we featured a graphic wallpaper, which I am sure added hugely to the general impact of the exhibition.’ – the Royal College of Physicians.

Our hoardings are going downhill, literally! VCG Colourlink were
commissioned to produce this amazing hoarding for the new LFB Fire
Station in West Norwood. The site is on Knights Hill which as the name
suggests, has a rather steep incline making this a challenging
installation; especially when you have a fire hose running the entire
50m length!

We carried out an extensive survey and measured every minute
detail of the hoarding to ensure the artwork was produced to the exact
specification with every possible obstacle anticipated. Not only did the
images align perfectly along the entire length of the hoarding but we
also managed to introduce an acrylic observation window using the
outline of a Fire Fighters visor so the public can view how the
construction is developing.

The eye catching design drew lots of attention from passers-by
especially as the models featured in the artwork are all serving Fire
Fighters in the local community.

Love Letters for Rigby and Peller

Valentine’s day is not far away, so this year luxury lingerie brand Rigby and Peller came to VCG Colourlink to create a sexy but subtle Valentines window display with the strap line ‘True Romance’… Forever the romantic..

To create their scheme we used a mirror red vinyl that was applied to red pvc board cad cut to shape. This was extended to the plinths, finishing off with red chiffon drapes as a backdrop… Giving the windows a love letters straight from the heart look…

Going Underground

If you have seen today’s Google doodle then you will be aware that today marks 150 years of the London Underground. The underground system is a truly amazing and inspirational feat of design and engineering which spreads throughout the city forming one of the easiest and most reliable transport systems in the world, which was demonstrated during this year’s London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.

One thing we really love about the Underground is the iconic tube map, first designed by Harry Beck in 1933. The Map has become a visual image of London and can be found not only on the walls of Underground stations but also on the walls of one of our clients offices located in central London.

VCG Colourlink have been working with the prestigious venue hire company for a number of years providing them with our trademark Digital Wallpaper® for their meeting room venues across London.

For their Moorgate offices we produced this high impact wallpaper representing the Tube map on large curved walls both as a full colour on white positive and colour on black negative versions, letting the office users know that when they chose to work with our client – they are truly connected to the city.
